Question: I created a “word” that I want trademarked. Once trademarked, is it easy to solicit to companies to sell the rights?

It’s a single word, that can be used with a very recognizable one (1), or four (4) words phrase prior (before – leading into the word) to it. Do I trademark just the word, or the 2 words, or the 4 word phrase? It can be used as a name brand or popular “pre-phrase” to a brand name. Also is the search hard to find out if it’s been trademarked already? Thanks.

Answer: It might be difficult to sell a trademark if there is no associated product you are also selling.

Without more information, it is too difficult to say whether you should trademark just the word, the two words, or the four words. You might be better off trademarking all three variations.
