Question: I’ve invented a simple product (few parts) that can be configured to address a range of different issues. If each of its 5 configurations, standing alone, improves upon other inventions in 5 separate classes, should there be drawings and claims focused on each specific use? The different uses are not evident without a description.
Answer: Assuming you are in the process of filing a patent application, yes, you should have drawings and directed towards each of the different uses. Also, your description of the different uses/inventions should be sufficient to enable someone to make and use your uses/inventions.
